Car Timeline

Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 June 2026

These terms apply when you use Car Timeline, a UK vehicle admin app for tracking MOT, tax, insurance, service history, documents, reminders and optional MOT Verdict reports.

By using the app, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Car Timeline is operated by Krzysztof Kosecki.

What the app does

Car Timeline helps you store and view vehicle-related information in one place. This may include vehicle details, MOT history, tax dates, insurance dates, service records, repair records, receipt photos, documents and local reminders.

Vehicle data sources

Vehicle data may be obtained from UK government vehicle data services, including DVLA and DVSA-related services.

Car Timeline is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by DVLA, DVSA or GOV.UK.

Accuracy of information

We aim to present vehicle information clearly, but we cannot guarantee that all third-party data is complete, current or error-free.

You should always check official sources and vehicle documents before making important decisions.

MOT Verdict reports

MOT Verdict is an optional paid feature that interprets available MOT history and presents a score, risk band, plain-English summary and, where appropriate, a light-hearted character or roast.

MOT Verdict is based only on available MOT history. It is not a mechanical inspection, valuation, roadworthiness certificate, warranty or guarantee of vehicle condition.

For buying decisions, safety concerns, repairs or mechanical checks, you should use a qualified mechanic or professional vehicle inspection service.

No MOT history

Some vehicles, especially newer vehicles, may have no MOT history yet. If there is no MOT history available, there may be nothing meaningful for the app to score or interpret.

Where the app blocks a paid MOT Verdict due to no MOT history, no paid report should be generated for that vehicle.

Purchases

Paid features may include one-time purchases such as a single MOT Verdict report or an Unlimited Garage unlock.

Purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, with RevenueCat used to manage purchase status and entitlement handling.

Prices may vary by country, currency, tax treatment and store settings. Any refund requests are handled according to the relevant Apple App Store or Google Play policies.

Unlimited Garage

The free version of the app may limit how many vehicles can be added. Unlimited Garage is a one-time unlock that allows more vehicles to be added on the device, subject to the app's technical limits and these terms.

Your records and documents

You are responsible for the accuracy of service records, repair notes, insurance dates, documents and photos you add to the app.

The app is not a substitute for official vehicle paperwork, insurance documents, invoices or garage records.

Reminders

Reminders are provided as a convenience only. You remain responsible for checking MOT, tax, insurance and other vehicle deadlines yourself.

We are not responsible for missed reminders, device notification settings, delayed notifications or failure to act on a reminder.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including by:

Availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Vehicle data lookup, MOT history, AI-generated reports and purchases may depend on third-party services being available.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Car Timeline is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We are not liable for losses caused by reliance on incomplete vehicle data, missed reminders, third-party service errors, purchase platform issues or decisions made using the app.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The latest version will be posted on this page.
